Songs 11 to 20 - Sri Raghava Shatakam

Radhekrishna!

Sri Anna is an epic personality of our times and it is indeed our great fortune to be associated with him, even if remotely. All the Granthams that he has composed are an expression of pure divinity. While all these outpourings are his 'Samarpanams' at the sanctum of his beloved 'Lord Bhaktakolahalan', he has been extremely gracious in making them available to us for our benefit. We should therefore ensure that it's pristine divinity is maintained by us by ensuring that it is not reduced to mere casual listening / rendering. We should convert this into an opportunity to listen and render with bhakti which will gladden Sri Anna's heart.

Songs 11 to 20 - Sri Raghava Shatakam

The glory of Sri Rama radiates even while he is an young lad with the episode of 'Ahalhya Shaapa Vimochana'. While His breathtaking beauty captivates the hearts of the rishis residing in the forests and the citizenry of Mythila alike, even before they could recover from it comes his deed of valour with 'Shiva Dhanurbhabga'. His adherence to righteousness finds a perfect match in Sri Sita Devi and Sri Anna takes all of us to that grand wedding. He then brings to us a series of 8 songs (of which we shall listen to 5 of them today), describing the divine loving sports of the young and divine couple where we can visualise, witness and feel the sights & smells full of mirth and joy. How fortunate were those flowers, bees, flora and fauna who gave those young and tender hearts all the fun and a great time to revel in love with each other !!!
